Hermes Editora General, S. A. was created in 1994.
We publish educational material for all the Spanish autonomous regions under four different names: Castellnou Edicions, Almadraba Editorial, Castellnou Editora Valenciana and Biblioteca Hermes.
From our beginning we have been linked to the changing educational situation at all times: during the first few years, 1995-1998, with LOGSE. Then in the period 2002-2004, with the application of the decree of minimum education levels of Secondary school and high school, taking into account at all times the pedagogic requirements of the individual educational centre and its teaching staff.
The text books and the school material we publish (revision and further study material, reading material, teaching guides, Cd's, teacher resource files, etc.) are all elaborated with quality, scientific rigor and a high pedagogical standard.
We are currently working to offer new materials of Primary, secondary, high school and adult education to all the educational centres in the different autonomous regions.
We hope that these new materials will assist the teaching process and the professionals who are currently working within the new educational situation, which is divided into the following three areas:
- The cultural diversity and origins of the students.
- The necessity to apply the new information technology and its implementation in the classroom.
- The inclusion of foreign languages from the first educational levels.
